Elamus Spa’s new menu surprises with local produce and healthy choices

Elamus Spa is known for its relaxing environment and versatile sauna services, but the spa team considers it no less important to delight guests with a varied menu as well. According to catering manager Maris Villo, their aim is to keep offering visitors new taste experiences. “We update our menu every now and then to offer guests new and exciting flavours. We get inspiration for the new menu from guest feedback and suggestions, and in the course of the work the team always comes up with exciting ideas of its own,” Villo says.

The most popular additions to the new menu this time have turned out to be tacos with pulled pork or crispy prawns, an Asian-style noodle salad with beef, and a juicy burger with pulled pork in BBQ sauce. “Customers really have praised these a great deal,” Villo notes.

In terms of healthy options, several poke bowls have been added to the menu, suitable for both meat lovers and vegetarians. “We added poke bowls with different toppings to the menu – poke with Korean-style chicken, poke with hot-smoked salmon and vegan poke,” Villo specified. The selection of salads has grown too: “At visitors’ request we have also increased the range of salads,” Villo noted, highlighting among them the colourful tomato and burrata salad added alongside the classic Caesar salad, and the flavourful Asian-style noodle salad.

According to Villo, visitors with food intolerances can eat well at the spa too. “In the case of a food intolerance you can always ask the server for more detailed information, and together with the kitchen we can adapt selected dishes to your wishes,” Villo confirmed.

With the new menu, more attention than before has been paid to seasonal and local products. “In our dishes we use, for example, natural apple juice produced on Saaremaa, with which we make large quantities of milkshakes every day – the undisputed favourites of children in a spa environment,” Villo said. “Among seasonal dishes you will also find local fish on our menu – recently we offered smoked flounder, which was very well received by visitors, and at the moment the menu features roasted eel with black bread, for instance.”

The environment also greatly affects the food experience, and this has been thought through at the spa. “Our menu features a wide selection of hit products popular in a spa environment, which over the years have become guests’ favourites,” Villo explains. Visitors’ favourites have not gone anywhere from the new menu: the crispy sweet potato fries with bacon, cheese and jalapeño, and the legendary beef burger with a side. Nor can you overlook children’s favourites: “Chips with sausages or crispy chicken pieces are a sure favourite with children,” Villo added.

According to Villo, the aim of the varied menu is to give visitors the fullest possible all-round experience. “We have tried to put together our menu so that everyone finds something to their liking. As tickets at Elamus Spa have no time limit and there is time to relax for a whole day if you wish, we have fitted into the menu a selection of snacks, salads, wraps, burgers and, of course, desserts are not missing either. The drinks selection includes refreshing and healthy smoothies as well as a large choice of children’s favourite milkshakes.”
